Our Story

Japan Easy Travel started in 2016 when Haru Sato, a private guide living in the Kansai region, noticed that many visitors arrived excited about Japan but unsure how to navigate daily life here. After leading over a thousand personalised tours, he built a small company around one idea: make Japan feel approachable, not overwhelming.

Over the years, the service grew from guided walks in Kyoto into a wider platform covering western Japan's most rewarding destinations. We realised our guests needed more than sightseeing — they wanted help with dietary concerns, medicine questions, train logistics, and finding places to practise their faith. So we added those layers, one by one.

Today a team of local residents, multilingual guides, and travel planners works together to help each visitor find their own version of Japan — whether that means quiet temple gardens in Kyoto, street-food lanes in Osaka, deer-dotted parkland in Nara, or harbour-side history in Nagasaki.

What We Stand For

The Real Thing

We show you the Japan we live in every day — neighbourhood restaurants, local festivals, and places that don't appear in most guidebooks.

Everyone Belongs

Halal meals, wheelchair access, prayer spaces — we handle the details so every traveller in your group feels comfortable.

Rooted in Japan

Our team lives here year-round. We know the seasonal rhythms, the quiet spots, and the shortcuts that make a trip feel effortless.

Sorted, Start to Finish

Medicine equivalents, luggage forwarding, train passes — we take care of the practical side so you can focus on the experience.
